VERY VERY GOOD all round do everything Sports tyre

Paul - July 29, 2019

I didn't used to like Michelins having had 2ct's a few times and been disappointed with the vague feeling at high speeds (over130) but the power 3's have addressed this I'd say and grip very well, not quite Racetec levels of confidence but very close, I've had a few sets now using a 180/55 on my Gen2 ZZR1400 and had them at 185mph, the front is awesome and as with all Michelins very good in the wet. I got 3000-4000 out of the rear's and only 6000 from the front, bear in mind this is on a ZZR1400 so higher wear rates to be expected. I ride around 15000 miles a year and cruise at around 100 so would say I'm a more experienced than average rider and quite a hard on tyres. I usually compare tyres by how much chicken strip removed I achieve and with all the Michelin power 3's I've got rid of them entirely (possibly because I'm a running 180 section).. Anyway blah blah blah to summarise very good tyre I'd give them a genuine 95/100 the last 5 only lost by being just not quite as grippy as the top sports rubber from Metzeler or Pirelli but crucially better wet grip and durability, a minor compromise I'm more than happy to make, better than Dunlop Sportsmax Qualifier in every department my previous favourite allround Sports tyre

Very satisfied with these tires. On a recent trip through North Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina the tires handled the twisties and heavy rain very well.
