The Market’s Best Grip*

The factors that determine a motorcycle tire’s sporty credentials include grip and manoeuvrability, as well as handling during changes of lean angle, under braking and when accelerating hard. MICHELIN came out on top in all of these areas in the MTC test*.

* According to a series of tests carried out by Motorrad Test Center in October 2016 at Boxberg et Neuhausen tracks (Germany) using a BMW S1000RR equipped with 120/70ZR17 and 190/55ZR17 tires, comparing the new MICHELIN Power RS with the following competitor tires: Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3, Dunlop Sportsmart 2, Continental Sportattack III, Bridgestone S21, Metzeler M7 RR.

No Sacrifice in Wet Grip**

The MICHELIN Power RS tire improves upon the already exceptional wet grip of the MICHELIN Pilot Power 3 tire by 3.5 seconds**. With MICHELIN 2CT (Dual Compound Technology) at the front and MICHELIN 2CT+ at the rear, MICHELIN Power RS tires deliver outstanding grip in dry and wet conditions alike.

**Based on internal tests in Fontanges, France in 2016 on a 2015 BMW S1000RR with tire sizes 120/70ZR17 (front) and 190/55ZR17 (rear), comparing MICHELIN Power RS with the MICHELIN Pilot Power 3 on a 1.2 km track. Results may vary according to the motorcycle and riding conditions.

Fantastic Tyres

R1sk - July 28, 2020

I put these on my R1M last year and covered over 6k miles. These included a couple of track-days at Silverstone, two tours to Europe and commuting in horrendous downpours. I have found them extremely confident inspiring in the dry or wet. PPE deliveries have finished off the back tyre with some squaring off. But that's only in the last 1k miles of 6k miles. Highly recommended on a 200 bhp bike.

Continually outstanding Tyres

StuartB - July 2, 2020

Had multiple sets of Michelin Power Pilot, PP 2CT, Power SS, RS, RS and now Power 5s over the years. I'd guess 15/16 pairs or thereabouts, first set of PP were on an RR2 Blade in 2005 and never looked back from there other than a couple pairs of MR7RRs on my HP4 I've ran Michelins for almost 15 years on 2 Blades, Gen1 ZX10, HP4 and Power 5s on a second recently bought Gen 1 ZX10 Never had an "incident" in all that time and probably racked up at least 70k in mileage. I'm a dry weather rider other than getting caught in 4" deep torrential rain on a German Autobhan 2 summers ago which was seriously scary...again faultless! Theres lots of good rubber out there but why change when these have never let me down..I love the wear pattern on the RS where you can see the different compounds clearly, the RS less so but just as grippy, quick warm up and impeccable on really hard exit acceleration. Each evolution of the PP just gets better as the years go on For me the PP family has been a tremendous help to my confidence...Michelin struck Gold 15 years ago and with the model on model improvements....what next ! Outstanding... Stuart
