The Market’s Best Grip*

The factors that determine a motorcycle tire’s sporty credentials include grip and manoeuvrability, as well as handling during changes of lean angle, under braking and when accelerating hard. MICHELIN came out on top in all of these areas in the MTC test*.

* According to a series of tests carried out by Motorrad Test Center in October 2016 at Boxberg et Neuhausen tracks (Germany) using a BMW S1000RR equipped with 120/70ZR17 and 190/55ZR17 tires, comparing the new MICHELIN Power RS with the following competitor tires: Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3, Dunlop Sportsmart 2, Continental Sportattack III, Bridgestone S21, Metzeler M7 RR.

No Sacrifice in Wet Grip**

The MICHELIN Power RS tire improves upon the already exceptional wet grip of the MICHELIN Pilot Power 3 tire by 3.5 seconds**. With MICHELIN 2CT (Dual Compound Technology) at the front and MICHELIN 2CT+ at the rear, MICHELIN Power RS tires deliver outstanding grip in dry and wet conditions alike.

**Based on internal tests in Fontanges, France in 2016 on a 2015 BMW S1000RR with tire sizes 120/70ZR17 (front) and 190/55ZR17 (rear), comparing MICHELIN Power RS with the MICHELIN Pilot Power 3 on a 1.2 km track. Results may vary according to the motorcycle and riding conditions.

Michelin definitely are not kidding abou ..."

s1rrkitt - January 16, 2018

Michelin definitely are not kidding about their tires on wet roads. Just went for a spirited ride around town after it rained with my friend who was completely mystified by how far I had my bike leaned over as if my tire was completely dry. I knew the roads were still wet, but I truly did not know my tires were actually treading standing water through the turns, and the tires did not ever clue me in! The PowerRS firmly tracked my lines as I intended, never slipping for even a millisecond. I have tried other tires with different manufacturers and have never felt so confident in wet roads than I have with MichelinÕs. Even in the cold, the PowerRS is a phenomenal tire to have on your bike. Normally, you would want to heat the tire up before heading out to ensure you have optimal grip, but the need to do so is minimal with these tires. Thanks to super soft compounds on the sides, you will still have the necessary grip you can count on. The lowest I personally have gotten my bike down to is 57¡. One day I will finally go to a track and the PowerRS will be the tires I take with me! I run with 120/70 up front and 200/55 on the rear.

No issue with my snakes 3, love them and would buy them again. Rode my bike from Ontario to the BMW Ralley in Utah Salt Lake City and had no issues.

I have been running the Michelin Power RS on my zx6r since December and loved every moment I've had on them. Recently I have been only doing track days at a local track called Harris Hill (H2R)and have noticed a big difference in my lap time dropping, and the difference in front end feel I'm getting going into the corner. All I can say is you have to try out these tires if you haven't already!
